Microsoft Stores offer free tech support for all Windows users

It’s common for Windows users to struggle especially if they don’t have any technical knowledge.

If you don’t have a friend or family who can help you with your problems, then you might have to take it to the nearest technical PC shop to have it fixed and spend a lot of money in the process.

Now, you don’t have to do this anymore as taking your PC to the nearest Microsoft Store can fix these technical issues for free. These retail locations have begun to respond to the Apple’s Genius Bar by offering the Answer Desk for their users.

This service was offered first in 2011 as a website apart from 24/7 live technical support and the Microsoft Store’s Answer Desk is literally an extension of that service now.

Only now, instead of looking for help online, you can visit one of these stores and get your computer fixed. It doesn’t matter where you purchased the device really – if it runs Windows, they will fix it for you.

As for the problems that are free of cost, they include device diagnostics, software repair or support, malware or virus removal as well as tune-ups to improve performance for your PC.

If your problem is a little more severe, Microsoft will charge $49 so as to help with warranty issues, hardware or Windows 8.1 installations or upgrades, app installs, OneDrive migration as well as data backup migration too.

That said, this service is open to those who aren’t Microsoft Store shoppers as well.
